A bit improbable in places, but this does not distract from the drama. Roman is a different type of hero: sometimes stumbling; a little inept, perhaps; determined, but he does get the job done. There is a twist: thing may not be as they seem. The writing is crisp and rapidly moves the story forward -- an enjoyable read. This is the first of a trilogy, but it is a complete story. A quick read, enjoyed the main character as well as the other characters a lot. I hope the author continues with this series.
Good beginning for character development in future books. Strong basic storyline but needs to be developed. Withholding final judgment until waiting next book.
This novella packs the action and characters into just a few pages but will keep your attention to the plot, the twists, and to the characters. Well done with a character, Roman, who's as unique as any of the classic and iconic leading men and women in literature.
Cool story about an ex military guy looking for work that gets hired by a super private government agency to murder somebody and ends up protecting him instead. Quite an interesting twist. Plenty of action and you never know who is coming after him next. From Russians to policemen.
Great character and plot development. Great read, right to the last page. Well edited. The characters are real world, believable. Solaire is a man to watch, follow, and read about.
I don't normally read short stories but this one was really great. It held my interest in the suspense and action. I couldn't wait to find out how it ended.
I want more!! Glad there are other books in this series. Good pace and well developed characters. I could keep the characters straight as I read. Exciting and unpredictable.... Recommend reading this series!!
